Q1: What kind of scale do we use to measure sounds?

[Answer]

Sounds are vibrations, so the more something vibrates, the louder the sound it makes.

Our ears are designed to pick up very quiet sounds, which means they are delicate. Loud sounds can be painful and damage the eardrums.

We measure sounds using a sound scale. This scale is measured in decibels.
