The hunters were not the largest dinosaurs, but they were the fiercest. They had huge heads and short tails and they walked on two large hind legs. For most of the time they kept their heads level with their bodies, but reared up to attack.
The other hunters of the time were reptiles swimming in the seas (plesiosaurs) and reptiles flying in the skies (pterosaurs).
