Once Hitler was in power he began to build up a new army and airforce until they were the biggest in Europe. He also began to rebuild the navy.
The peace treaty that ended World War I did not allow him to do this, but none of the allies stopped him.
Then he began to tell the German people that it was right for them to get their lost lands back.
It was now only a matter of time before Germany invaded its neighbours.
