Q: How did clothes change in the 1960s?

Suddenly, in the middle '60s, the opening of boutiques meant that the drab clothes and styles of the past were gone.

In their place shops sold miniskirts, bell-bottomed, flared trousers, and brightly patterned shirts. Hair started to be worn longer, too.

Discos opened and 'pirate' radios broadcast new kinds of music. Famous band names were the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.
