Cliff
Another part of the seaside – and a part
that fewer people visit – is rocky and has steep slopes. This steep part of the seaside is called a cliff (picture 3). Most cliffs are found on headlands, although some are also found at the back of bays.
Estuary
Some parts of the coast are deeply indented (picture 4). They are called estuaries. Estuaries are important parts of the coast because they provide sheltered harbours
Delta and sand spits
Some parts of the coast contain pleces where sand has built out to see. deltas are fan-shaped areas of sand. sand spits are hook-shaped beaches that stand out from the coast (picture 5).
