Q1: What is the part of the eye called where the light shines and makes an image?

[Answer]

Our eyes not only let light in, but they also focus the image we see.

The light goes through the tiny black centre of the lens, called the pupil. By using eye muscles, we can change the shape of the lens to focus the image on the back of the eye.

The back of the eye is called the retina. It is covered with tiny sensors that send information about the image to the brain.
