A force is something that gets an object moving or, if it is already moving, changes its speed and direction.
Here are some examples: when you push a drawing pin into a board, you are forcing it in. When you pull open a door, the pull is a force.
There are many other kinds of force, too. Magnetism is a force and so is electricity.
