Q1: Why should we use a circuit board?

[Answer]

In screen 3 we made a torch but holding all the pieces together was very fiddly.

There is a better way. A circuit board is a board on which strips of metal are pasted. The connections can be any shape you like. Connections do not have to be wires. Strips of tin foil pasted to the board work just as well. But, all connections must press tightly together and make a loop.
