You can easily test for whether something is a conductor or an insulator.

You need a bulb, batteries to match, and wires to join them, a variety of objects, such as spoons, candles and other things, a jar of water and some salt.

Make up the circuit shown in the diagram on the main screen. See how clips are used to attach objects to be tested.

If the object is a conductor, the bulb will light. Test a spoon first to make sure your circuit is right, then test a candle and other things.

Finally, dip the clips in a jar of water. Does the light shine? Is water a conductor? Add some salt. Do you notice any change?

(By the way, you have salt naturally on your skin, so any water on your skin is salty water.)
