Q1: Can you change the shape of a solid more easily when it is cold or warm?

[Answer]

A solid is anything that cannot change its shape freely.

A solid is made of tiny particles (too small to see) that are fixed together in regular patterns.

You may be able to push or pull it into a new shape (such as when you scrape butter or put on a jumper), but once you put it into that new shape, it will not change by itself.
