Q1: What is a habitat?

[Answer]

A place where a living thing makes its home is called its habitat. This has to be where it can get enough food to live.

In the case of a microbe this may be inside you; for a sun-loving plant it may be clear of all trees; for a tadpole it will be a pond.

Many living things choose a home not just for food, but for shelter – a hermit crab lives in an old sea shell; a rabbit lives in a hole dug in soft soil.
