Are there ways in which we can live with other species? Of course there are. This is even true in towns and cities if we make simple, but careful, changes. All that is needed is to understand what homes (habitats) wildlife needs, then fit this in among what people need.
In your garden you can leave a patch to grow wild. This will attract many small wild animals. Your local council can do much more with waste land.
