The main source of light is the Sun.

Because the Sun doesn't shine at night, we have to make our own light, although this light is weak compared to sunlight.

Light travels in straight lines and so always casts shadows.

We can help to get rid of shadows by using many sources of light, or by bouncing light from white card.
