We use teeth to break up food into the small pieces the body can use.

To do their job properly, they have to be hard and specially shaped.

The teeth in the front are the incisors and they are shaped for cutting.

The teeth in the back are molars. They are flat. They are used for crushing what the incisors have bitten off.
