You need food to help build your body. Energy foods won't do this.
The main substance that builds your body is called protein (pro-teen). Meat is packed with protein, so you don't have to eat much of it to get what you need. Meat also contains fat and you don't need much of that, either.
If you are a vegetarian, you can get protein from foods like peas, peanuts and beans, but you have to eat much more of them.
