Q1: What are the three layers of tree in a rainforest?

[Answer]

Rainforests are hot and wet all year, so shouldn't they be ideal places for plants? In fact, because it rains every day, most of the nourishment is washed out of the soils. So plants have to send out their roots sideways just below decaying leaves so they can grab the nourishment seeping from the leaves before the rain washes them away.

Trees grow so close together that they need to have all their branches at the top – which is the only place with strong sunlight.
