The saga of Helgi Hundingsbane

Helgi Hundingsbane was a hero in the Norse sagas.

As the story begins, Helgi is 15 years old. His father has been killed by Hunding, the king of the Saxons and it is Helgi's duty to avenge his father. Once he has slain Hunding he is renamed "Hunding's bane".

Now he is a proper warrior with a warrior's name he continues to raid and act like a Viking.

One day, while he is on board his longship, he is visited by a valkyrie (messenger of the gods) named Sigrún, who can ride through the air and over the sea and who knows well about his feats. She hugs him and kisses him, and he immediately falls in love with her.
