The Vikings were people from Scandinavia. They were pagan people who worshipped a number of superhuman gods.

They were seafaring people who mainly lived in coastal towns and who, for centuries, traded as far as the Mediterranean Sea.

Then things changed, and instead of trading they began raiding other lands – including the British Isles.
