Q1: Who would use a corner shop?

[Answer]

In an age when we are used to hopping in the car and driving to the superstore once a week, it's difficult to imagine why corner shops were so important.

But Victorians did not have cars or fridges. They were not as wealthy as us and so they could not buy in large amounts.

So they bought what they needed on a day to day basis, and for this the corner shop was both a new idea and and an ideal solution.
