Q1: Why did the Romans leave?

[Answer]

By the 5th century, the Roman empire was becoming weak. All of the people outside the empire knew this very well and so they began testing the borders with more and more raids.

The weakened empire could not hold the barbarians back. In AD 410 the Roman emperor Honorius told the people of Britannia that they now had to look after themselves.

The trouble was that the Romans had never trained the British or allowed them to carry arms.
