Wherever they were in the empire, Romans always dressed the same way as they would have in Rome.

Most people wore a basic one-piece tunic (tunica) made from wool. Important men would have worn a more flowing garment over it called a toga, and all men wore a cloak when it was cold.

Women wore a tunic as an underdress along with a stola (overdress) and a palla (wrap), too.
