Q1: What style did the Romans use for their temples?
[Answer]

The Romans were very good at getting things done, but they did not have the imagination of the Greeks. So, instead of inventing a new style, they borrowed the Greek style for their temples.

The Greeks had found ways of holding up nearly flat roofs with many columns. This is what the Romans copied for several centuries.
