Q1: What are the main parts of a henge?

[Answer]

Have you ever wondered how Stonehenge got its name? It is a 'henge' where the stone slabs are the most striking feature.

So what is a henge? It is a circular ditch and bank, with the ditch being on the inside. Henges have stone or wooden post circles inside them, but the stone/wood circles are often less old than the ditches and banks.

There are lots of henges, and although Stonehenge has the biggest standing stones, it is not the biggest henge. That is at Avebury as the video tells.
