By the 1960s, fish and chips were still the nation's favourite dish, but more people were going on holidays abroad and found out about other kinds of food. Spaghetti became popular. As Asian immigrants arrived, they introduced more variety. People started going out to restaurants that served curry (from India) or sweet and sour pork (from Hong Kong).
Fridges were made with freezing compartments, so frozen foods such as fish fingers and peas became popular, too.
