Q1: What are the signs of changeable weather?

[Answer]

Settled weather is not very common in the UK. More often the weather is unsettled, with ragged clouds racing across the sky or grey sheets of cloud that cover the sky.

The winds and cloud of this kind are connected with what weather forecasters call a low pressure. In a low the air is rising, so it is getting colder and as air gets cold it causes moisture to turn to droplets of water and make clouds.

Changeable weather often brings bands of rain.
