Screen 6/9

The Yangtze (or Chang)

The Yangtze (called the Chang in China) has its source in the Tibetan part of the Himalayan mountains. It then flows 6,300 km to the East China Sea, draining 1.8 million square kilometres.

The Yangtze is the world's deepest river and also one of the muddiest. It is infamous for flooding.
