A giant waterfall

A waterfall is a place where a river suddenly plunges over a cliff, freefalling as a curtain of water.

The water in a waterfall is white because it picks up bubbles of air.

As water falls, so it speeds up. If the water falls a long way, it crashes down on the rocks below with great force. If it's carrying stones, it smashes those down on the rocks, too.
