Q1: When do lakes form: during an Ice Age or after an Ice Age?

[Answer]

Mountains have many lakes. Some are round and high up near the mountaintops. They're called corrie lakes or tarns.

Others look like long fingers as they are trapped in the valley bottoms. They are called finger lakes or ribbon lakes.

Both kinds were scooped out by glaciers during the Ice Age.
