It is no good pretending we can do without energy – we can't. And it's no good being extreme in what we do, because most people will never do that.
So we stand the best chance of the Earth's resources being used wisely by making it attractive or normal to do the right thing. Partly this is up to us because we can get businesses to make things that are environmentally more friendly simply by choosing 'greener' products. Governments can also pass rules that help, too.
