If you look at this packaging, you will see that it is designed to save waste – the opposite to what many people think. The padding is only at the ends. This padding saves having to use thicker cardboard on the box.
The polythene bags are to keep small pieces together so they don't get lost. The back around the radio stops it from getting scratched.
