Quick start books
Quick start books have been designed to present the core of subjects in a way that suits those children who prefer to read in short chunks, or who prefer to learn by listening.
They are called Quick starts because they can be used as the start of a student’s life, or as a starting introduction to a subject, or because they can start to engage those who found other kinds of book uninteresting.
Think of them as ‘starting points’, for these unique books are designed for a wider range of abilities and ages than any other book. And they work because of teacher and parent guidance. Let us show you how.
You can use these in grade 1 or even K because they have huge, engaging and vibrant pictures. So students don’t even have to be able to read at all.
You can even use them above grade 5 as an introduction to the topic, and for those who are reluctant readers or who find reading challenging. They have been tried out on this higher end audience and they like them, feeling they are comfortable to read and not condescending.
