Showering on Skylab
The astronaut is shown with part of the shower curtain down. In use the curtain was fully attached to the upper part of the shower. Water was sprayed out of the shower head and then pulled toward the lower part of the shower using a vacuum system.
Skylab modules
The station was made of four modules. The main module was a converted hydrogen tank from a Saturn V launcher, called the orbital workshop. The tank, nearly 15 m in length and nearly 7 m in diametre, was divided into two floors and provided both living and working space. It featured a large picture window for viewing the Earth.
On top of the workshop, and connecting it to other parts of the lab, was the airlock module. Beyond it
was a multiple docking adapter, which allowed Apollo spacecraft to dock with the Skylab, bring supplies, and change crews. Attached to the side of the adapter was an Apollo telescope mount (ATM) containing telescopes that were used to observe the Sun.
