How weight changes

Watch the video and listen to the sound.

During the demonstration you will see the weight of some beans out of water. Write down this value. Then the beans are placed in water. Write down the weight that is shown.

Can you work out what the loss in weight is? (Take the second number from the first)

More advanced:

Can you say what the weight in water is as a (a) fraction, (b) a decimal, and (c) a percentage of the weight before it went into the water? (Hint: in each case divide the smaller number by the bigger one.)
