Q1: What do animals do as the woodland changes from season to season?

[Answer]

Woodlands change greatly through the year. In spring deciduous trees have no leaves and the woodland is open and sunny. In early summer the trees get their leaves and the woodland floor is shady. In autumn the leaves fall.

Because the food supply of the woodland changes so much with the seasons, the way the animals behave also changes. Many animals change their diet from season to season, some hibernate and others migrate in winter when there is little food about.
