The air contains many colourless gases. One of them is water. When water is a gas we call it water vapour. You cannot see, smell or taste water vapour, but it's there.
Sometimes you can sense the air has a lot of water vapour because the air feels clammy – humid.
Liquid water changes into vapour all the time. It is called evaporation.
