Q1: Why does the blood from a cut stop flowing?

[Answer]

An injury is when we damage part of our body from a blow or a cut.

When you suffer an injury some of the body's cells are killed and new ones have to be produced. In the meantime, germs are more able to get in to the body, which is why wounds have to be disinfected.

Blood also has special clotting cells that go sticky when exposed to the air. In this way they seal the wound until new skin cells can be produced.
