Work in pairs for this, unless you are very skilful with your fingers!

You can make your own torch by using a battery, a bulb (in its holder) and two wires whose ends have been bared. The metal must be showing.

If you are using wire with a plastic coat, get an adult to bare about 2cm of each end.

Now hold the ends of the wires against the metal ends of the battery. Get your partner to put the other ends against the metal bulbholder connections.

Remember, it's always metal to metal.

The bulb should light.

Notice that you have made a loop.

Electricity always flows in loops. You must never have unconnected ends.
