Q1: How do muscles get their energy and oxygen?

[Answer]

All muscles are controlled by tiny electrical signals that are sent from the brain through the nerves. The nerve signals tell some muscles to tighten and at the same time they tell others to relax.

Whenever we move we use up energy and this has to be got back to the muscles. The blood carries food, such as sugar, and oxygen to the muscles. When we move, some sugar and oxygen combine and release the energy needed.
