Everything we use is a material.

There are many kinds of material. Some, like wood, wool and stone, can easily be found in nature ready to use. Some, like iron and steel, come from heating rocks. Others, like plastic, are made from oil.

Each material has its own properties. Where we use each material depends on which property we need.

When we have used something we should always try to recycle it.
