Pets are not humans. Their insides are different from ours and they need a different range of foods from us. If they ate only our food they would become ill.

Dogs are meat eaters, like wolves. They need meat and also rawhide chews so they have something to grind and clean their teeth on.

Cats are also hunters. They, too, need meat.
