Vibrating wine glass

Watch the video and listen to the sound.

Now get a thin glass, like a wine glass, and stand it on a table.

Dip your finger in water and then run your finger around the top of the glass, much like you saw the wood being run round the silver bowl.

You should hear a beautiful ringing sound.

Now add some water to the glass and try again. What do you hear?
