If people are given a choice they eat what they like. They will eat more of the foods they find tasty and less of other foods. Some food, like green vegetables, might be avoided all together.

Eating what you like in this way may not be healthy and in later years the body may suffer. It is better to know what the body needs from foods and which foods can provide these needs then make tasty meals using this knowledge.
