The Sikh holy scriptures are called the Guru Granth Sahib, or simply the Guru.
The Guru contains hymns and poems written in the Gurumkhi script.
Most of the hymns and poems are about love for God. Listening to the hymns is
an important part of Sikh worship.
Another type of worship involves opening the Guru to a page at random each day.
The hymn on that page is the lesson for the day.
