Q1: Who benefited from schooling most during Elizabethan times, the wealthy or the poor?

[Answer]

Just like today, learning gave Tudor children the best chance for getting on in life, whether they were from wealthy or poor families.

You had to pay for schooling. The very rich paid for a tutor. The well off sent their sons (not daughters) to private school. The poorer tried to get their sons apprenticeships, although they still had to pay for this.
