The Anglo-Saxons ruled England from when the Romans left, 1500 years ago, for 500 years (until the Normans arrived).
They were warrior peoples from northwestern Europe.
At first they were invited by the British to help protect them from the Scots and Irish, but then the Anglo-Saxons decided to grab the land of England for themselves.
