Egypt was a kingdom and so it was ruled by kings, who we also call pharaohs. The kingdom lasted almost 3,000 years. Sometimes it was rich and powerful; other times it was poor and weak. Occasionally it was taken over by other countries altogether.

Here we are going to look at the times of the rich and powerful pharaohs of the New Kingdom.
