Q1: Who was the temple for?

[Answer]

A temple is a general word for a building in which people worship their god or gods. (Some religions have a word of their own, such as church and mosque.)

The ancient Egyptians believed that once they had made a temple it became a home of the god or goddess it was dedicated to. As a result, temples were the best buildings that the ancient Egyptians could make.
