Can you compare pictures and maps?

When you click the two links below you will pop up a map and a photograph taken from a satellite. They do not cover quite the same area and they are not quite at the same scale. Having to compare things of different sizes and areas is very common when you do research.

Print both pop ups and then write on to the photograph these places: Cairo (the capital city of modern Egypt) and Giza (where the pyramids are) from the map, making sure you get them in exactly their correct positions on the photograph.
