Make a time line

Listen to and watch the video. As you do so, see if you can write down some of the things that seem important. Do not worry about dates. You can add these when you get to the next video (in section 1)

At the end, try to make a time line using the notes you have made. Everyone in the class can put their notes together, so that if you missed something, other people probably will have got it..

It's quite hard to do, so concentrate really hard. You may want to play the video through more than once.

When you have made your time line, check it with the time line in the ancient Egyptians Picture Gallery (close this window and go back to the ancient Egyptians contents, then choose Picture Gallery at the bottom. The time line is the top picture in the gallery. The one in the ancient Egyptians Picture Gallery is 1.5m long! You can print it if you want to.)

Add pictures printed from the ancient Egyptians to make your time line look more interesting, then put it up on a classroom wall.
