During the last part of the Stone Age (the part after the Ice Age that we call the Neolithic time), people went through the first farming revolution and started to settle down.
They sorted out territories for themselves and built the first permanent homes. They then began to make things to trade for items they wanted but which were not on their territory. Trading was Europe-wide.
